An outdated 1970’s desert condo was stripped down to its barest bones,
reconfigured, and rebuilt into this stunning pied-à-terre. Warm colors,
rich toned woods, and organic materials echo the warmth and spirit of the
desert.
Above the dining table, the chandelier of semi-precious carnelian glitters
within its polished nickel frame. Ginger hued maple cabinetry in the kitchen
balances the sleek, refined professional grade appliances and shimmering
glass backsplash. At the fireplace, a distressed alder mantle and floating
granite hearth are surrounded by natural stacked slate. Espresso, rift-cut
oak vanities in the bathrooms play off the creamy limestone and river pebbles
on the floors and counters. In the master bedroom, the bed is framed by
a luxurious upholstered wall, while in the guest bedroom painted pulp panels
highlight the focal wall behind the bed. Clean lined furniture combined
with plush velvets, smooth silks, and buttery leathers complete this elegant
atmosphere.
A sumptuous teak floor runs throughout the residence tying together all
of the design elements. Sleek yet elegant, plush yet refined, this space
transformed into a welcoming desert getaway.
